600x300x8mm cork tile is a versatile, high-density rectangular tile commonly used for both flooring and wall applications. At 8mm thick, these tiles offer enhanced acoustic and thermal performance compared to standard 6mm variants, making them ideal for areas where noise is a concern.
Our 600 cork tiles manufactured in Portugal are square edged and designed for a straightforward, professional finish. Their precision-cut squareness makes them incredibly easy to lay, ensuring tight seams and a uniform look across your floor or wall. 300x600 mm tiles, the most common and recommended laying patterns are stack bond (for a modern look) and brick bond/offset (to minimise lippage). Because these tiles are rectangular
with a 1:2 ratio, they are highly versatile and can be laid both horizontally and vertically.
To deliver a superior result with even less effort, we offer an optional pre-gluing service. By applying the adhesive to the reverse of the tile, we eliminate the mess and inconsistency of manual gluing on-site. This high-quality factory application guarantees a better result—stronger adhesion and a perfectly level surface—making it the ideal choice for both DIYers and professionals seeking a premium, high-density finish.
For a high-quality finish and to ensure thepre-glued backing bonds perfectly, the sub-floor must be prepared to a high standard. Whether you are laying onto timber or concrete, the surface must be clean, dry, level, and structurally sound.
Regardless of the sub-floor type, the area should be level to within 3mm over a 3-metre radius.
This precision, combined with thesquareness of our tiles, ensures your floor looks like a
seamless, high-end architectural feature rather than a DIY project.
When choosing our high-density 305x305x6mm cork tiles, you have the option of Raw
orPre-coated finishes. The best choice for your project depends primarily on the condition and levelness of your sub-floor.
Raw Cork Tiles
Raw tiles offer the most forgiveness if your sub-floor isn't perfectly flat. Because they are finished on-site, any "lipping"—where one tile sits slightly higher than its neighbour—can be easily removed by sanding the entire floor once laid. This results in a perfectly flush, seamless surface regardless of minor sub-floor imperfections.
Pre-coated Cork Tiles
Our pre-coated tiles are designed for a faster, cleaner installation but require a smoothand level sub-floor . Since these tiles cannot be sanded after they are laid, the sub-floor must be flat to prevent any lipping. To ensure a high-quality, professional result, we recommend applying one final coat of water-based polyurethane across the floor once installation is complete to seal the joints.
We supply the compatible primer and Contact adhesive to be trowelled out on the sub-floor as well as coatings to finish the project.
